I had a dream that I started a band with our friend Matt Watson called War Memorial. The song is about all that shit you carry around from the past. All the dead from all your personal wars that live in your head. This song is about building a monument to that bullshit and leaving it there and walking away clean.
lyrics
I saw you break another sweat
and open your mouth like an ocean of regret.
So here's my list, these are my demands:
Face this world with open heart and open hands.
Unclench those fists, let those grudges hit the floor
This is my crucible, this is my purest form.
Can't break me down.
There's not much left of me.
Can't break me down.
There's nothing left to see
besides this smile.
